Screens 4.8 now supports macOS 11 Big Sur with an updated UI and a new icon!
This new version also includes some enhancements:
- Screens now remembers when a connection window was closed in fullscreen mode
- Screens now shows nearby and remote computers in one single list
- Image compression is now available for VNC servers that supports it (ex: TightVNC)
- Fixed an issue with Caps Lock when connecting to PCs
- Fixed several small issues
- And of course, stability and performance improvements
Availability
Screens 4.8 is available now via our website, the Mac App Store and Setapp.
Update: some users ask if we’re going to make Screens for iOS available on Macs running Apple Silicon. At this time we’re not planning to do so as we believe a native app like Screens for Mac is much better suited for the task.
