We're currently making significant improvements to the Screens Connect service to improve reliability, compatibility, and performance.
While we do our best to ensure that older versions of Screens 5 and Screens Connect 5 continue to work, we strongly recommend keeping both apps up to date to ensure the best possible experience.
Keep Up to Date
For the best compatibility with the Screens Connect service, we recommend using:
- Screens Connect 5.3.3 or later
- Screens 5.10 or later
Keeping both apps up to date ensures you benefit from:
- Improved reliability and stability
- Better compatibility with the latest versions of Apple's operating systems
- Faster access to bug fixes and performance improvements
- Compatibility with ongoing improvements to the Screens Connect service
If you experience an issue while using an older version of Screens or Screens Connect, one of the first troubleshooting steps we'll recommend is updating both apps to the latest available versions.
What About Screens 4?
Screens 4 and Screens Connect 4 are no longer being actively developed. While we do our best to maintain compatibility whenever possible, newer improvements to the Screens Connect service are primarily designed for the latest versions of Screens and Screens Connect.
