We’re thrilled to announce that Screens 5 now fully supports Family Sharing! If you’re a yearly or monthly subscriber, you might have already noticed this addition.
Lifetime Subscribers: Unlock Family Sharing with a Free Upgrade
We encountered a challenge with the chosen product (non-renewable subscription) that unfortunately doesn’t support Family Sharing. To address this, we’ve introduced a complimentary “Lifetime Family Upgrade” in-app purchase. This allows users who purchased the Screens 5 Lifetime plan before Screens 5.0.5 to share their subscription with family members.
To activate this upgrade, head to Screens 5.0.5 for iOS or Mac app settings under Subscription. Current Screens 5 Lifetime subscribers will find an “Upgrade to Lifetime Family” button. A simple tap or click will guide you through the process.
After completing the upgrade, you’ll notice the updated plan reflecting Family Sharing compatibility.
If you’ve purchased the Lifetime plan from Screens 5.0.5 or later, you’ll notice it labeled as “Lifetime” rather than “Lifetime Family Upgrade”. Rest assured, they are identical. As long as you see the Family Sharing icon, you’re all set!
Ensure that both you and all your family members update to Screens 5.0.5.
